So wanna hear about the best day of my life?
IMAGINE DRAGONS CONCERT.
Life changing flippin concert.
I honestly don't have words to describe how I felt about this.
Oh mah goshh.
I'm absolutely in love with them.
(This might be a rather long post, I've been gone a while!)
In other news,
Last Tuesday Kenz got me a SICK longboard
for my birthday that was on Friday,
she just couldn't wait. Hahhaa
I LOVE IT.
On Wednesday we decided to take it for a spin
to see how I liked it!
And down the canyon we go.
I was doing really well actually, I was carving and what-not.
But stopping still isn't my forte.
It isn't Tiff's either.
Tiffany was on a friends longboard and it was her first time longboarding ever
I was actually really impressed by her ability to go down and not fall off every other second.
After Bridal Veil falls in Provo Canyon,
there is this CLIFF, basically that leads right into the rapids of the Provo river.
Me and Tiff are going down, doing fine,
until Tiff bails on her board (cause that's how you stop if you haven't yet learned)
and it starts soaring (almost) into the river.
I was RIGHT behind her and I see that this board is headed for troubled waters
And I did NOT want it to go in because
1. He made that board himself
2. He and Kenzie would be livid
So like the super smartie pants I am,
I bail on MY board to catch Tiff's board
which ended up catching on a rock and not even going in
but guess whose board DOES go in?!
My brand spanking new, barely been ridden, blue and green BEAUTY
is going for a swim.
I immediately start yanking as many articles of clothing off as I can
in preparation to go after it but that thing was SOARING down the river
as if it was a dang piece of plywood.
Keep in mind that all the while I was SCREAMING profanities
and bawling and yelling for everyone to come help me.
My freakin hysterics gathered a crowd, I'll tell ya.
But I go to jump in after it but I could not see it ANYWHERE,
I swear it was GONE.
But thank the Heavens for our friend Randy who was with us
and watched it get stuck under a rock and was trying to fetch it out with a stick.
I couldn't see through my tear filled eyes anymore
and obviously Tiff realized that
so she took it upon herself to march in there and get herself.
BLESS HER HEART.
She went chest deep in those rapids that almost swept her away
to retrieve my blessed longboard.
She brought it back up to me and I started crying harder and saying thank you
and hugging her and all that good stuff.
Needless to say, I bought her dinner.
And she went down the rest of the canyon soggy.
True friendship, people.
Friday was my birthday!
I usually don't look forward to my birthday.
They come too quick, I hate growing up.
I cried, like bawled when I turned 18.
But 19 isn't too bad!
I feel more like an adult, I have a lot going for me,
and a lot more things I can do with my life!
AND Tiff and Kenz had planned some extravaganza for me which doesn't hurt(:
They started out by kidnapping me at 5 am and taking me to breakfast,
after that I went back home and slept till about 1:00.
Apparently we were supposed to go to the Mona Rope Swing
but the weather was a butthole, so we went to Jacqui's to hot tub instead.
I'm not complaining!
After that, Z took me to see Iron Man which I had already seen
but lets be real, that movie rocks.
I knew they were distracting me with the movie so they could prepare for something else.
That's all I thought about through the whole movie!
When it was over we went straight to my house
where I saw tonss of lights.
I have such a thing for lights.
They were wrapped around my porch outside,
and candles where in mason jars everywhere,
there was a little campfire and a canopy with a bunch of blankets under it...
In all honesty I though someone was going to pop out and propose.
I'm not complaining there, either.
It was SO DANG CUTE.
I was sad a couple people didn't show,
but ya know how that goes now a days.
No one goes to ANYTHING.
But I don't care all that much anymore,
I knew the people that came cared!
We roasted mallows and talked and had a jolly old time!
Originally the plan was to set up a TV out there and all cuddle and watch a movie.
But that dumb rain had it's way with our plans.
We ended up just watching a movie at Tiff's later that night.
It was an amazing birthday.
I have such great friends.
I am so blessed!
All in all its been one AMAZING week.
Longboard, birthday, Imagine Dragons concert, and a new job.
Well old job, that has returned.
I've missed it!
Can't jinx it!
I also have a meeting tomorrow with my bishop
We'll see how that goes!
I'll keep you updated.
Well, I'll try.
